Goosed ("we", "our", or "us") is a medication reminder and adherence tracking app. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information Goosed collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

a) Data Stored on Your Device

Goosed stores all of your personal medication data exclusively on your device using local storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it. Locally stored data includes:

• Medication names, indications, dosages, and schedules
• Dose completion records and timestamps
• Streak and progress data (levels, timing statistics)
• App preferences (notification, sound, and display settings)
• An anonymous, randomly generated device identifier (UUID)

b) Anonymous Analytics (Opt-In Only)

If you choose to enable anonymous analytics, we collect aggregated usage data through Google Firebase Analytics to help improve the app. This data is not linked to your identity and includes:

• App events (e.g. screen views, dose completion timing categories, level progression)
• General usage patterns (e.g. number of medications, days since install)
• Firebase instance identifier (a randomly generated ID that is not tied to your personal identity)
• Device and app diagnostics (e.g. crash reports, OS version)

Analytics are disabled by default. You will be asked for consent the first time you use the app, and you can change your preference at any time in Settings.

c) Medication Fact Lookups

When displaying educational information about your medications, the app sends the medication name and indication to our fact service (hosted on Cloudflare Workers) to retrieve relevant content. No personal identifiers, device IDs, or account information are included in these requests. Fact responses are cached locally on your device for up to 30 days to minimise network usage.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Goosed does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Your name, email address, or other personal contact details
• Location or GPS data
• Health records or data from Apple Health
• Contacts, photos, or other on-device content
• Financial or payment information
• Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking data

We do not use any advertising SDKs and do not serve ads.

3. How We Use Your Information

• On-device data is used solely to provide app functionality: scheduling reminders, tracking your medication adherence, and displaying your progress.
• Anonymous analytics (when enabled) help us identify bugs, improve reminder reliability, and understand which features are most useful.
• Medication fact lookups provide you with accurate, relevant educational content about your medications.

We never use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

Google Firebase Analytics

When analytics are enabled, we use Google Firebase Analytics to process anonymous usage data. Firebase operates under Google's privacy policy. Firebase Analytics data is not linked to your personal identity and is used solely for product improvement. We have configured Firebase to respect your opt-in preference, and no data is sent when analytics are disabled.

Cloudflare Workers

Our medication fact service is hosted on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare may process standard server logs (IP addresses, request metadata) in accordance with their privacy policy. We do not send any personal identifiers to this service.

We do not integrate any advertising networks, social media SDKs, or other third-party tracking technologies.

5. Data Storage and Security

All personal medication data is stored locally on your device using the iOS sandboxed storage system. This data is protected by your device's built-in security features including encryption at rest and your device passcode or biometric authentication.

We do not operate servers that store your personal data. There is no user account system and no cloud synchronisation.

6. Data Retention

• On-device data persists until you delete it using the "Reset All Data" option in Settings, or until you uninstall the app.
• Cached medication facts expire automatically after 30 days.
• Anonymous analytics data retained by Firebase is subject to Google's data retention policies. We have configured Firebase to retain analytics data for the minimum available retention period.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have full control over your data:

• Analytics consent: You can enable or disable anonymous analytics at any time via Settings > Anonymous Analytics. When disabled, no analytics data is collected or transmitted.
• Notifications: You can enable or disable medication reminders at any time via Settings > Notifications, or through iOS Settings.
• Data deletion: You can delete all locally stored data at any time using the "Reset All Data" option in Settings. This action is immediate and irreversible.
• App removal: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from your device.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with data protection laws, you may have additional rights including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data. Since we do not maintain user accounts or store personal data on our servers, the most effective way to exercise these rights is through the in-app controls described above. 8. International Data Transfers

If you enable analytics, anonymous usage data may be processed by Google Firebase in data centres outside your country of residence. Google maintains appropriate safeguards for international data transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws. Medication fact requests are processed by Cloudflare's global edge network and may be routed through servers in various locations.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, notify you through the app. Your continued use of Goosed after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
